The America I love to my core is the America of its founders, not uner any God, not under your God, not under my God, not under anyone's God. The highest authority in this Republic is WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES.

In this republic of its founders, all people enjoy total freedom to worship any God they choose or none at all. Equal freedom. Thanks to James Madison, father of the Constitution and author of the Bill of Rights, no group may impose their religion on the rest of us.

The silly phrase "under God" did not appear in the Pledge of Allegiance until 1954, when it was pushed though by the lobbying of the Knights of Columbus, a Roman Catholic group. It is no way part of the orginal vision for this Republic.

Under some God? No way. The America I love is not under anyone or anything. If you want a theocratic state, move to Iran.

The link to this national report
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070222/ap_on_re_us/math_reading_scores;_ylt=Ag9FThtsgP3pNXmk6VNby_DMWM0F

Quote From Report:
As in the past, the math and reading scores showed large achievement gaps between white students and minorities.

Forty-three percent of white students scored at or above proficient levels on the reading test, compared with 20 percent of Hispanic students and 16 percent of black students.

On the math test, 29 percent of white students reached the proficient level, compared with 8 percent of Hispanics and 6 percent of blacks.

The gap in reading scores between whites and minorities was relatively unchanged since 2002.

The federal No Child Left Behind law has put added emphasis on math and reading, largely in the elementary- and middle-school grades. It also requires states to separate out their test scores by race so officials can track and try to narrow achievement gaps between groups of students.

I have a logitech mouse.

I highlight a section of text, or move the slider with the mouse, and the highlighted section continues to follow the mouse or the page continues to scroll after I have taken my finger off the left button. I believe that it is a box that I checked somewhere, but forget where.

Yesterday, I found 2 greeting cards in my inbox from dad through usagreetings.com. The first (most recent) card was of an obvious romantic nature ( kisses, lips etc) and it was signed with my dad's name. It mentioned time spent in venice and my dad went to italy in june last year. The second card was a loving good luck wish to me from him and my mom. So I replied to the first greeting with a "what the hell?'' and got another 'thank you'card sent from my dad apparently to the sender of the first card i got. It was as if my dad recieved the first card as well and is letting the sender know that they sent it to the wrong person.

Do you think usagreetings accidently sent someone else's greeting to me and my dad when he was sending the good luck card to me?This is his explaination of what happened.

I am very close to my dad and up till now he was a role model of what an ideal husband and father should be. And now my foundations are shaken and my world is falling apart

What distinguishes oxymora from other paradoxes and contradictions is that they are used intentionally, for rhetorical effect, and the contradiction is only apparent as the combination of terms provides a novel expression of some concept. Or maybe not.

Does it end with a global government that is of, by and for the people? Does it end with a global government that is of, by and for the corporation, like the Soviet Union was? We already have global corporations in this country that are apparently not accountable to our of, by and for the people government. Where is this going?

Why do some people create and nurture stupid drama in their lives? Is "real" life not interesting enough for them? It is really pitiful.
I would love to get some real insight into this.
