General knowledge of general ledger software is helpful (we use Great Plains). They all work approximately the same. So it would be good to have general computer skills for general ledger software. Also, excel knowledge is helpful. Advanced excel knowledge is sought after. Especially if you are very compfortable with pivot tables and the like.
