We live in St. Louis Missouri and most places that hire 15 year olds are fastfood restaurant and he doesn't want to work there. He has a work permit but we're not sure who hires 15 year olds anymore. HELP!

We are looking together as a team so i can help him for what I know he won't like and what he may like. We both agree he would not like a fastfood job. He is looking forward to working this summer the catch is he is only 15 so it's hard to find employers for his age.

I understand, at 15 it is hard for them because a lot of places require 18 and older. Those other people that made negative or nasty remarks don't get it. Some retail stores and rest. will not hire a 15 yr old so I don't blame you for helping, you are doing a good job. One place that my son applied at which hires that age is St. Louis City Museum. Also, look on Craigslist under jobs. Maybe place an ad on Craigslist.com for babysitting, dogwalking in your area. My son did that and got lots of small jobs in the neighborhood. Good luck

Why are you finding him a job - the beginning of responsibility is finding your own job. Suck it up there's a reason that almost everyone has fast food experience. Its also good training and discipline if you are lazy you will not last there. Builds character. Make him get a job at 15 or you will still be trying to get him out of the house and get a job at 20

Good luck. First, he should try places that he buys from, whether its a sporting goods store, skater shop, etc, or a place he enjoys going to, like an ice rink, arena, or movie theatre.
He's pretty smart not to want to work in fast food. I'd blow my head off if I ever had to do that again.

will u can look like a place for example like a shoes store or clothing but do not work at a place that you know that you will get tired. or make you do alot of thing.
