2007-02-22 06:13:01 · update #3

But which Hadith, specificly? What book, what volume, what verse?

2007-02-22 06:15:13 · update #4

Which hadith? Sahih Bukhari? Sahih Muslim? Sunan Abu-Dawud?

2007-02-22 06:16:54 · update #5

And deazone wins.

Just to let you know, Al-Tirmidhi was born in the year 824. That's almost 150 years after Muhammad died.

A hadith is the prophet's speech or what he did. So, how could this be? Hmmm?

Anyways, thank you for your effort.

1. Pagans are not wise men and if a Pagan asks for asylum grant it to him so that he may hear the word of Allah. (9:5) How can there be a league before Allah and His Messenger, With the Pagans except those with whom ye made a treaty Near the Sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: For Allah doth love the righteous. (9:7)

2. The Hadith states that "The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: 'The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]."

**** But some people do not believe this was actually stated and it is controversial for certain people.

***Hadith Al-Tirmidhi in the Book of Sunah (volume IV, chapter 21)

3. ".........Nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful! " (An-Nisa 4:29)

EDIT: If you noticed, I said that the Hadith was controversial and not all people believed it depending on who the recording person was.

YUSUFALI: But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
PICKTHAL: Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
