"...At the time of your donation, your blood reacted in a screening test for the antibody to the human immunodeficiency virus type 2 (anti-HIV-2). False positives can be caused by antibodies to viruses other than HIV, antibodies produced by pregnancy, and other medical conditions. Additional studies using other test methods (Western Blot confirmation) failed to confirm the presence of HIV-2 in your blood.... Please note that this result DOES NOT indicate that you are infected with the AIDS virus, nor does it indicate a condition of significant risk to your health..."


I got this letter after donating blood. What does this mean. What should i do about it? Do i have HIV but not AIDS? I am nervous to go get tested.... I dont do any drugs and am not a whore at all.....

Hi, I am studying in the best Uni in UK postgraduate, and my life is a complete mess, honestly don't know what to do about it.

I am doing a postgraduate course in the best university in London and now I have meat an amazingly hot student whom i was dating and having sex with for the last month. However I feel that it has taken away my focus from my studying and that i can't work anymore on my exam preparation. The guy is also studying very hard and we are both seem to be having problems because we don't have time to spend with each other, we need to concentrate on school, we are loosing focus, seems like i loose it more than the guy..
Anyway the guy is an international student, he is likely to live in june after exams back to his country. Is it worth me getting into relationships with him and falling in love when he is probably leaving?
How do I deal with it? I can't stop thinking about the guy, even when i am suppose to study, what shall i do? Do I need to break up with him?

this question arose when talking to a friend of mine at which we wondered when is it too cold for a penguin to live and would keeping a pet penguin in a freezer do it harm by being too cold. dont worry I have no intention of keeping a pet penguin in the freezer.

Ok I am in this class that is part of my major, and (I'm a fresshmen) I was having a very hard time in the class. I have a learning dissability, and thought I was not putting enough effort to overcome it in the class. As I continued on (spending 2 to 3 hrs a day just on reading and rereading the sections), and trying my hardest and coming up with nothing. I was afraid to go to my teacher because I thought he thought I was just stupid. I finaly reached the point where I didn't care anymore, and just went in to get help on understanding the material and not the actual work. He helped me a lot and now I am able to understand the material so much better. In fact it seams easy now. I do not think I got enough out of the class though. I want to retake it, but I do not want to overload myself with it next term and with everything else I am taking. Do you think I should take it again or not?

I've seen several posters complaining that the US' efforts in Iraq are being set back by political correctness, but then don't expand on that. If you agree with that statement, tell me what you mean--I don't get it. Are there specific things we are doing wrong? Are our goals wrong? What policy/idea are we fighting for there, and what should we be doing to make that happen?
