I feel religion could be part of why. Like first off "I am a Christian" However the bible talks of the antichrist who unites all the people of the world as one, and brings peace (THE ANTICHRIST) Yes I do think this would bring peace but I fear it because im a Christian. So I studied other religions and many of then fear the same thing or avoided a connection like this because out time is to be used only serving personal purposes to please a higher power. So if my connection was true then we will never have a connected united One World Government peace and true freedom because we are all selfish maybe? Maybe If it just wasn't about is but the future then no one would ever have to think of things like this! Because no one would know what I even talking about! (like most of my answers might tell me anyway! its all good I like a good argument against my ideas anyway!) Peace out

One evening the pastor of the Almighty God Church decided to call his wife to discuss their plans for the evening, but the phone rang and rang, and no one ever answered. Later on, he did manage to reach her, but she said her phone never rang at the earlier time he said he tried to call her. Dismissing the event from his mind, he was startled the next day to receive a call from a stranger who asked why he had called the day before. Not recognizing the caller, he suddenly remembered trying to call his wife on the previous day and he apologized for dialing a wrong number. However, the caller said he was grateful for the call because it had kept him from committing suicide. He told the pastor that he had been ready to kill himself, but had asked God for a sign not to when his phone rang. He said that he had been stunned when he saw the caller I.D. read as "ALMIGHTY GOD", and that he had been too afraid to answer.

Please answer only if you are a professor or know a college professor well outside the realm of regular student professor relationship.

What do they do besides teach. They spend about 6-10 hours teaching a week at my school, then 2 or 3 office hours a week.

This question is especially for non science professors. History, psychology, political science and sociology professors for example. Do they just read up on their subjects and write articles and books? Do they get to travel?

This is my first time negotiating for a used car. I'm looking at a 1995 car w/ 121K miles. Edmunds.com says the car is worth $2025. The dealer started at $3900. I started at $2000 and stopped @ $2300. The dealer came down to $2900. I zipped up my coat and left.


It seems that my cash is no good. They'd rather have someone come in and finance the car for $2900 for the rest of her life--so long as the monthly note isn't too bad.

What advice would you have for:
1. dealing with the aforementioned dealer, and
2. what might I have done wrong and how do I get a better start with a new dealer?

One question that I haven't figured out how to respond to. It's one of the first that they ask, "cash or financing?" It feels like I'm sunk as soon as I honestly respond, "cash."

What's so good about USC? Why are USC graduates prominently displaying their USC graduate status in their car license plates, flags hanging outside their house and posters hanging on their cubicles? It seems USC alumnis are extra proud of their school compared to graduates from other schools. Why is that?
