If a one world government could fix every problem- Then why are we scared too?

I feel religion could be part of why. Like first off "I am a Christian" However the bible talks of the antichrist who unites all the people of the world as one, and brings peace (THE ANTICHRIST) Yes I do think this would bring peace but I fear it because im a Christian. So I studied other religions and many of then fear the same thing or avoided a connection like this because out time is to be used only serving personal purposes to please a higher power. So if my connection was true then we will never have a connected united One World Government peace and true freedom because we are all selfish maybe? Maybe If it just wasn't about is but the future then no one would ever have to think of things like this! Because no one would know what I even talking about! (like most of my answers might tell me anyway! its all good I like a good argument against my ideas anyway!) Peace out

Yes nice idea in theory , but your blue might be grey to someone else. People have ideas that differ. If you say yes to one thing you also at the same time say no to something else. People just can't be regulated well by people who are not in the same shoes as them. You can't go over over to china and be like hey you have to wear this kind of shoe or believe this thing. When these people have held other kinds of beliefs their whole lives. They will look at you funny and beat ur behind.World peace is a nice sentiment but hardly attainable.

There is a great book called "What the World is Coming To", written by a very good bible teaching pastor. It is a commentary on the book of revelation. You are saying these things because, if you'll excuse me, you are not knowledgable about what the bible says about the antichrist, the tribulation period, and the false peace that the antichrist will bring to the world. Please find this book and read it. You will not be confused anymore about these things.

I have often wondered if this idea of someone who shows up to bring peace to the world, and who seems to be great and much loved.What if this is true?What if this man who is supposed to show up is really supposed to bring peace and love and unite us all.Maybe he is good and satan knows about all of this and has put this idea and fear out there so prevalently that this is not possible now.If satan knew that this would one day happen, it would be a great way to stop it.Look at how everyone knows so much about this, and how scared everyone is.What do you think about this?

well its a good question to think about. yes i do think religion plays a big part. here in america is "supose" to be freedom of religion but everyknows it says "in got we trust" on the back of all money. i do beleave in god but the rest of the world may not and religious people will try to force there religion on you or other people, and the human race has been around awhile and so many people bleave in different things. some people are not the best in our eyes like the alkida (i know i spell bad) but does that mak them bad people? people are rasied different and therefor have different beleafs incase you've forgotten about hittle thats kind of what he wanted but he was too crazy and his beleafs were way too crazy but i think when you have other types of governments its good because people can choose were they live well in most countrys

one world government might well be an answer, but can't happen in a competitive world, with fragile egoes. also, the source of our lifesblood, our economies are all so out of touch with their people.
there would have to be a mind change from the competitor and get rich now people, to that of caring for their brothers [and sisters], actually eliminating all the wrongs that we know are here, and, deep down, know that we could solve.

it's impossible to have one world government if you follow the sociological vew of functionalism. in functionalism, the society is one giant whole, and there are tons of little units working together. fuctionlistic society fails when groups split off. so....there would be too much disagreement. cultural, monetary, and like you said, especially religious. but there's more problems int he concept then just religion. you really have to consider monetary classes. those would ruin the entire thing.
