After X-Mas, we "rescued" two girls (at their request) from their abusive mother (who threatened to "kill his girls" if she didn't get to speak with their father) and placed them with us; their father and me. The oldest girl is 17 and the young one is 10 years old. We got the police involved and Child Protective Services as well. All these outside parties agree that the father's home is the most stable for the two girls. Now, a month later, when the 17 year old doesn't want to go to school anymore, she plots with her mother to have her come pick up the girls and take them with her (4 hrs drive away). I discovered this "secret plot" on the computer screen. I told their father and we asked what was going on. The 17 year old is adament that she wants to go back to the environment - even admitting that it's disfunctional, but "that's what I want!" The 10 year old wants to go with her sister. No custody papers are in place for either side. How do we protect the 10 year old from this?

Does it seem normal to you that an ailing horse receives postcards, religioud symbols and gifts totalling $1.2M, and makes front pages of major publications throughout the US of A, while at the same time our casualty count in Iraq or significant events at home serve as a backdrop, in small print, on the side of the Barbaro;s glam shots? When was the last time the public collected $1.2M to support a veteran who lost his legs? Do you think this is normal and if yes, please explain why? If it's not, why are we so sick?

I'm interested in doing a few small projects in my condo (refacing cabinets, new flooring, new countertops), but I'm having trouble finding a contractor. Places like Lowes and Home Depot seem to be geared towards big home remodeling projects.

My real estate agent was a nightmare, so I wouldn't trust anyone she suggested. And my boyfriend and dad are very capable, but it would take forever, it would be completely inconvenient for them, and I want to do this on my own since it's my place.

Any suggestions?

My cousin was incarcerated for a couple of years and the girl he was messing around with at the time started messing around with another cousin of ours. Well when he came home my cousin found out about it, but still continued to mess with this girl. He would tell the family he really didn't love this girl and that he was just trying to get himself together. We just can't understand why he would even want to deal with a chick that messed around with his cousin. Is it possible that he's just using her or is he really in love with this girl? to eat dry food. He will eat the cat's Ocean Fish Flavor cat food but not any other's I have tried. I end up feeding him table scraps. He sheds like crazy and I'm told it's the cat food. How do I go about figuring out what kind of food to give him? Wet vs dry? How much? When? I feel bad that I do not know this. He is four years old. I want him to live longer. He has little teeth!

wel i am thinking about going to NYU and i will give you a site look at the last column where they tell you how money you have to pay can you tell me whether all the students have to pay money together or each student has to pay that much money and next to that column they also tell how many ppl are allowed in one apartment so.............do we all have to gather the money and make it equal to the amount due or do we have to pay that much money each THANK U !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
