Oo ooh ooh! I learned a little about mother theresa in a meeting once...one of those pump you up talks that is common in the life of sales.

Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu and I think she was born in macedonia and was albanian?

From what I remember she left her home at the age of 18 and joined a nunnery. I think from what she saw as far as the poor population and slums that surrounded that nunnery is what made her want to work amongst the poorest of the poor!!

Thats all I really remember.

I think that Mother Theresa was Italian (born in Italy) but I can't say I 'know that as a fact' so you might want to do more research. I can tell you, though, that she was a 'living saint' because she didn't care who she helped, all she cared about was helping them. She treated people of all ages and all religions, and she didn't just 'treat them' but she actually LIVED WITH THEM ALL THE TIME. So yes, she did work 'on humanity' to make us ALL a 'little bit better' ...

Mother Theresa was an Indian Christian who worked among the poor and destitute in Calcutta. Imagine that, a Christian who did good things! She was a credit to us all. Golly gee, she was Albanian, hmm i learned something.

She worked in Calcutta and the jury is still out as to whether she was a disinterested humanitarian or basically a missionary worker.
