I got a worm through Limewire. I know better but I opened something I shouldn't have. So anyway no I can't get rid of it. I am running XP. It seems to have altered what ever file that tells XP what programs to start because it is running when I go to Trendmicro and starts everytime I boot my computer so It can't be deleted.
It seems to have disabled Ctrl+Alt+Del because I cannot run task manager to stop it. I also can't run regedit to search for it.
I don't know how to start in Safe Mode in XP nor do I know how to get to a command prompt. I knew old Windows pretty well but I am not up on the differences in XP, although I am finding out quickly.
All you Techies out there, if you can even give me a little bit of info on each one of my failing I would appreciate it.

I have a hardwood floor in a house I am renting, and it looks as though its never been finished/its been more then 30 years since its been refinished. There is several "white" areas where it looks like there was paint/water damage to the floor. I'm wondering if there is a way to really clean the wood without sanding refinishing, as i don;t want to spend a lot doing it (as it is a rental) anyone know of a good way to clean up hardwood?

I adopted two cats that were severely abused by their previous owner. I have had them for several years and was able, through love and tenderness, to get one of them calmed down enough to where she is now a lover. The other cat is a major problem. When it is just me in the house, she is timid at best. She lives to be right next to me but if I touch her or pet her in way that bothers her, she will attack me. When my boyfriend is home, she is so afraid of him that she will hardly ever come out of the corner and if he goes hear her, she will attack him with clwas a teeth. When friends/family come over, I have to lock her up or she will hiss and spit at them and attack them. She then gets so mad that people are over that she will attack her sister viciously sometimes drawing blood. I took her to the vet and the vet gave me anti-anxiety meds for her but they arent helping. The vet told me to consider euthanizing her but I am not sure I could live with that. Any suggestions? Thanks
