Is it legal for your would-be employer to change your hourly rate after a verbal agreement?
Last week my Fiance was recently offered a job to work at a Memorial Care hospital. The Hiring Manager and HR Manager called him to confirm that they are hiring him and he could start working next week. They offered him a salary of $27.50 per hour plus overtime. On the same day, he was offered another job from a different hospital, but he declined because he already accepted this previous job offer. He then asked the Memorial Care hospital to send him a paperwork about his hiring. The Hiring Manager told him not to worry and everything's taken care of.

Tonight he got a phone call from the HR Manager that they are changing his hourly rate to $6.00 less. He said that his position is not a management position and they are hiring him from another Memorial Care division, not from outside sources. He even aded that it's the company policy. Do you think it's legal? How would you handle this situation?

I fell hard core for this guy that I was going out with but now we are just friends. I cannot help but still think of him in that way even though it has been since last September that anything happened. I'm constantly thinking about him as well as an old HS crush that I keep in contact with. How does a girl begin to change her frame of mind when she knows that she has to get at least a BA? What are some good ways to refocus my mind so that I'm more concerned with the people around me than if guys like me or not?

i have the biggest problem with letting go of the past. mainly: my boyfriends ex girlfriends and crushes. i seriously need some advice on LETTING IT ALL GO. i love him so much and i know that he loves me, still i cant seem to get over it. i really hate being like this because i know it upsets him and i feel terrible about it. i hate being this way. please can someone help me to let go of his past? i don't need people telling me to just "get over it" or that im being insecure and stupid, because i already know. thats why i want some help getting over things. i know that hes not with them, hes with me and allll of that. but i still keep letting it get to me. any ways to make these feelings go away?

I went for my first ultrasound. The doctor counted 9 weeks from my first day of my last menstrual period. On the ultrasound it showed that I am only 8 weeks and 1 day. But the doctor said everything is fine. He said a Normal 8 weeks gestation. There was also a heart beat. I got worried that the fetus didn't grow enough. Should i be concerned?
