Why? What would you recommend to someone who had never read them before?

I am a huge fan of Dawn Powell. A lot of people compare her to Dorothy Parker, but she had her own witty, incisive voice. I'd recommend everyone read "A Time to Be Born."

I don't know if you believe in the predictions of Nostradamus or not. The 3rd WW will involve Iran, Israel and China, and the USA.
The Antichrist (the 3rd one!) will cause it to happen. What happened to the first 2 Antichrists? Who would volunteer to fight WW3? Somewhere in the future, WW4 will be fought with sticks & stones! What's your opinion on predictions by anyone? I predict someone will answer this question. Will I be right?

I really like this guy and I know for a fact that he likes me 2. Everything would be perfect if my friend would stop flirting so much with him.She told me that they used to have a "thing" , w/e that means, but I don't think she has gotten over him. It makes me so mad when i look over and see her batting her eyes at him b/c she is the one who tried so hard to get us together. We probably would be going out if he weren't so shy and would just asl me. I really really like him, but should I be mad at my friend for liking him too?

i am biracial i married a black man and have two children i was raised by white father and a thai mother i was raised in a all white comm. and attended white churches now that im older i live around a maj. white comm. i enjoy the white churches but feel that me and my family would not be accepted being the only blacks should i feel like i need to seek a black church just because we would fit in better i sometimes wonder if its just me with the paranoid problem or do they make me feel this way

Me and a friend have a theory. We think that we know how to digitize things. We start by scanning an object using advanced MRIs to create an image of the object inside the computer. Then we use a laser to turn the object into energy to store for later printing. We don't really have a process for printing it but we are thinking about using a laser at extrememly low temperatures to reasemble the object from energy. Can you tell me if this will work and if the theory has a flaw, can you tell me how I could fix it?

A very dear friend of mine started seeing her brother's friend secretly 6 years ago when they were both in between jobs. She said it was quite intense and they got very intimate. It broke off when the chap went to work abroad. She says he wanted to bring it out into the open but she wasn't sure she was ready.

He went away and they didn't speak or see in between. She said she thinks about him all the time but just can't make the next step. She said she contacted him early last year and the whole physical thing started again. He seems to like her enough as she describes him as gentle, considerate, an unbelieveable lover and attentive.

I feel she is playing with his feelings and have told her so. I don't understand what is the stumbling block is? She says she would love to be with him but feels her brother would feel uncomfortable. Any guys out there been in the situation, do you get over it if your sister dates one of your mates? Or should she steer clear?
