I have a court case for ancillary relief coming up at the end January. The case particulars are very established now and nothing left in the way of negotiations - just submission of papers and oral arguments. My barrister is excellent and has done a very good job to date.

In the meantime, my solicitors have done a poor job and have been increasing their billings dramatically. Now they have put forward an estimate of skyrocketing costs to conclude the case.

We see it should be a decrease of costs as we have nothing left to negotiate and it is simply up to oral arguments.

Can we dismiss our solicitors and still maintain the barrister by direct representation? Could I represent myself and what would be my odds for success? We have 5 weeks before the court hearing - what options might be available to us in this situation?

What kind of advice is this? Why don't we just turn it completely off and live like the Eskimos then? I wonder how many of the company excecutives keep their thermostat at 66. Where do you keep your thermostat? My suggestion to the gas company is to stop wasting my money by airing that stupid commercial, and to lower their profit margins. I don't need them to waste my money by stating the obvious, that if you lower your thermostat you will use less gas. Wow, what a stroke of genious.

How can one judge if someone's a good actor from just watching a movie? Doesn't being a good actor depend on how many times you have to repeat a scene/how good you are at memorising your lines/how good you are at emoting yourself? I really don't get the Oscars and those best actor/actress awards... IMO, from a movie, you can only judge if an actor's been emoting himself well or not. What else is there to judge?

Hi,I am a girl from China,my English name is Ashley.
My friends wanna get a nice English name,
one is a girl, and the other is a guy.
so what are nice girl's and boy's English names in your mind?
and what names do you think are not very good for youth, for example, these names are just used for middle century or before, not very proper for youth ,therefore when we get an English name,we will skip these names.Thanks.

Do you know that when Jesus hung on the cross dying, you were on His mind? Do you know that when he asked God to "forgive them for they know not what they do.", that He was talking about you? How does it make you feel to know that God sent His son to be born in a manger and die a sinners death so that you could be born again in Heaven?
