It is the area where the earthquake is generated and it's located just under the epicentre..

I believe the focus is located in the earth's crust where the earthquake first begins, like where two plates move alongside or against each other, i.e the origin; that's something to do with plate tectonics?

The point beneath the surface where the waves radiate out from. Directly below the epicentre.

I think it is the central point (ore zone) from which the earthquake activity emanated from and radiated outwards.
