A couple months ago there were a lot of girls hanging around with me in my dorm. At one point one of them asked if I believed in God and I said, "No, I'm an atheist." She looked at me with a mix of horror and disbelief. She and the others left right away without looking at me.

I really hate that theists think atheists are immoral, evil people living a sinful, dark life. I believe a life without a god that has zero evidence and of which the probability of existing is vanishingly small is very freeing. I don't have to suck-up to a god to be moral. I don't have to be fearful of existing forever (whether it be Heaven or Hell - both are equally horrendous). I don't have to live a life of lies where I was indoctrinated to believe and according to a book (and a heinous book at that). I don't have to be looked down upon if I use common sense and logic and evidence or have people of my "faith" kill others who don't believe in the same imaginary friend. I can live as a human knowing the truth.

I have been thinking of putting a small roof over my 1.2 wide verandah and i have been looking for clear perpex or similar and I was told that the best is polyurethane and can also be bend to create a bull nose on one end,. Is this right and where can I obtain this sheets.

ok, i'm reading "A Christmas Carol", by Charles Dickens, in school. i have to write an essay about it. i can choose 3 essays to write about and i want to do the one about the ghosts. the thing is we have to know what each ghost represents...i know the last 2 but not the 1st.

A large woman wearing a sleeveless sundress,walks into a bar. She raises her right arm, revealing a huge hairy armpit as she points to all the people sitting at the bar & asks, "What man here will buy a lady a drink?" The bar goes silent as the patrons try to ignore her. But down at the end of the bar, a droopy-eyed drunk slams his hand down on the counter and bellows, "Give the ballerina a drink!" The bartender pours the drink & the woman chugs it down. Once again the same drunk slaps his money down on the bar & says, "Give the ballerina another drink!" The bartender approaches the little drunk & says, "I say, old chap, it's your business if you want to buy the lady a drink, but why do you keep calling her 'the ballerina?' "As far as I'm concerned", the drunk replies, "any woman who can lift her leg that high has got to be a ballerina."
