try baked chicken, put some melted butter on it , put it in a oven safe pan,,,, after it browns 30-45 minutes,,, cover it with aluminum foil, and cook another 30 minutes, you also before you cover it, can put cream of mushroom , or celery, or chicken soup on it,,,,, make sure the aluminum foil is sealed up tight,,,,then just make mashed potatoes to go with it, you can do the same thing with pork chops, cook them the same way,,,,,

When I was your age and it was my job to cook, I had homework too. Know what it is like. You need some simple and quick stuff so you can get back to homework. I found Hamburger Helper and Tuna Helper pretty decent. It is easy, you only dirty up a skillet. Your dinner is ready in about 20-30 min.
My other favorite was shake and bake Pork and Chicken. Follow directions and back approx 30 min. While that is cooking you can prepare some Rice a Roni in chicken flavor or in Pilaf flavor for the pork which also takes 25 min. While those things are cooking on the stove and in the oven you can heat up canned veggies or zap frozen veggies in the microwave in about 5-7 min.
There are other one or two step mean packages in the same aisle in the market where you find Hamburger Helper. I know eating spaghetti can get a bit old.

You didn't say what you have to work with, but one of my ways to eat well fast is "quickie" soup.I start with olive oil or just bacon or ham, maybe onion or garlic and start adding any veggies from the freezer, fresh or canned and add spices, heat up some bread or find some crackers and thats good and good for you. Be brave and add lots of stuff! Hope this helps as my 14yo granddaughter makes dinner for her mom and sister occasionally and she needs help too.

BAKED BEAN CASSEROLE
1 lb. hamburger
8 strips bacon
10-12 hot dogs
Busch's baked beans (large can)
1 sm. Jar relish
2 squeezes of ketchup
½ bottle barbecue sauce
2 squeezes of mustard
Garlic powder
Seasoned salt
Parsley
Garlic pepper
In bottom of pan put ketchup, mustard, relish,
barbecue sauce and spices. Place beans in pan. Slice hot dogs thinly and quickly pre-cook in frying pan. Cook hamburger, drain both and place in pan with beans. Cook bacon, break and put in pan. Mix all ingredients together (I use my hands). Since all ingredients are cooked, just heat to taste at 350º for 40-60 minutes.
