Why are they called "love handles" anyway?


Also...

I know that when you exercise, you gain muscle and muscle weighs more than fat, so how can I lose weight without weighing more after exercising but still having more muscle than fat?

What exercises can I do that will help me gain muscle, but not weigh more? Is Turbo Jam any good? What about celebrity personal trainer, Joel Harper's Dorm Room Workout? What about simply walking for 30 minutes a day?

Also...
Will eating 1 banana w/ a glass of milk for both breakfast & lunch for 2 weeks help me lose 10 lbs. in the 2 weeks? One of my friends told me that and she's trying it.

idk, i was bored, and keep in mind im 14 so dont expect it to be perfect, okay!!



One lonely night, commencing from the moonlit moor,
Came a man, knocking, knocking at my door.
“It is time,” He said to me, his face holding a look quite sly.
As perplexed as I was, I managed a reply;
“I am not ready to go, I love where I am.
I will not go with you, inexplicable man.”
Through the window on the top floor I see,
the mysterious man looking right back at me.
Then back towards the darkness, he turned and ran
And not until just the next year did I see the man.
At the pearly gates I looked at him confused once more
And he answered my question look with memoir of the moor
He said then to me, “you did not come when I asked of you.”
And I replied with a smile askew.
“Lord, I did not know it was you.”

My girl for 1.5 years told me to hit the road but I think she talks too much to her friends about men and took their advice on this one. I have met them and they always seem bitter. Our problem was my work schedule. I have a demanding job that has required 10-12 hour days (some at home too) so I am sometimes a little frazzled. It won't always be this way, and that's why I work so hard. She has more free time than me and seems to always want entertainment. now it turned into a "you can't commit" thing with her. I know a lot of it is coming from her friends. we haven't spoken in 3 weeks since she dumped this on me. What is she thinking about now, or expecting me to do? (I know there will be some cute comments and I do have a sense of humor so bring it on. lol). Thanks.

I have written a book which I am revising. I want to send a query letter to an agent but don't know what a "great" one looks like. Does anyone have a website, or a letter I could use as a guide?

Also, where can I find a list of reputable agents?

Having been in the military for a while, I feel that in order to be an effective leader you must follow at some point in your career, start at the bottom and work your way up. I don't really feel that having a degree makes a person a capable leader (don't get me wrong, finishing a degree does require dicipline). Does anyone else agree with that statement, and if not why?

I discovered I am diabetic (type 2) nearly 3 years ago after seeing my doctor about severe tingling and numbness in my left foot. We think we (luckily) caught the diabetes early, and I can control glucose levels well with pills and diet/exercise (lifestyle) changes. That said, the tingling and numbness has remaining at the same level over the last few years, not getting worse or better.
It is a bit puzzling (to me and my doctor) as diabetic neuropathy usually is distributed evenly between both feet and/or hands... and mine was and is still highly focused in one foot.

I've been to a neurologist on my doctor's advice and after some testing, and two CAT scans, over a number of visits he confirms this neuropathy, but is at somewhat of a loss for a cause. His best guess is that an old injury may have led to this condition... as an aside, I did play football in college and did have a fairly severe ankle sprain on this foot .
I'm curious if anyone can relate?

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys.
The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms.
Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 AM
The next day at 8:45 AM there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door.
The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee.
He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule.
The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor.
When they get there the line is so backed up that there are Tickle Me Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're really beginning to pile up.
At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me Elmo's.
She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles.
The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs.
The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter.
After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches Lena "I'm sorry," he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face,
"but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday..."
"Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.
