I have written a book which I am revising. I want to send a query letter to an agent but don't know what a "great" one looks like. Does anyone have a website, or a letter I could use as a guide?

Also, where can I find a list of reputable agents?

Thanks for the help!

The following reference books are a must in submitting a complete manuscript to literary agent or publisher:

"Formatting & Submitting Your Manuscript" by Cynthia Laufenberg. In this book you will learn the best way to format a manuscript and learn how to build and then write a query letter--and more.

"Novel and Short Story Writer's Market." This is found in your local library or book store and is an invaluable tool to help you find the right agent for your type story.
