A V-Shaped animal trough which is made up of two planks of wood having width 0.5 metre and length 6 meters closed at the end by ends by a vertical sheet of timber. Determine the depth of the trough such that it holds a maximum amount of water?

The cross section is V- Shaped.

I know i have to set up an equation, differentiate it find maximums bla bla bla. But i cant set up the Equation!

Can anyone help?

and put people down fo r it, make fun, feel sorry and all that mess. when my mother was overweight she didnt eat more then we did she just was that way and I dont like it that some people thought of her badly because of it. people are people short. tall. large.ugly good looking,different races. whatever. and we should just except people as they are .and I think have love in our hearts for all people. dont you think.

Take a drug addict for instance...
Its so much cheaper to put him/her on a rehabilitation scheme that to lock em up.

I made a credit card payment by mail. Due to inefficient communication, while the mail payment was in transit, my husband made a payment online for the same account, the same amount. The payments were rather large, and I cannot exactly afford to use up that much money in a month for a credit card bill that doesn't require it. I'm thinking of putting a stop payment order on the mailed-in payment (which has not reached its destination yet). Is this a legitimate reason to request stop payment? Is there a better way to keep the credit card issuer from cashing the check? Thanks in advance.

For the past two weeks, it's been progressively slower to crank but would eventually turn over. Finally one day it just wouldn't crank at all. When I turn the key all the engine lights come on and I can hear the starter clicking. Opened, the hood. Some corrosion on the battery (it was only 3 years old). I put in a new battery anyway and cleaned the terminal cables. Still won't turn. Have power (always did) to lights, etc. I had the starter replaced a couple of years ago. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Any ideas of what this could be? When my starter died a few years ago, I had different symptons (would start sometimes, not others), but this seems different. The progressively slower and slower crank makes me worry that it's something mechanical? Any help? Please?

My feet are 46cm, ( thats big if you dont know ). They stick out like a terrorist in a convent. Great looking shoes are eather too small or my feet beckons evil smells that would kill a broad-shouldered buccaneer at 20 pace. But to be fair, they do have one thing going for me,. Its true what they say about a man shoe size and his limbo. giggle.

I recently found a recipe for homemade air freshener that required simmering a pot on the stove with a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water with a teaspoon of whole cloves. I thought that the vinegar solution might remove scent molecules from the air or break them down, and wondered what the cloves would add, aside from scent.

Having tried it, I'd be inclined to weaken the vinegar solution. Also, I didn't enjoy the clove fragrance much.

Simmering acetic acid tends to be hard on the eyes and lungs, I suspect ...
