We found a nest of spiders in a garbage can in our garage. We live in SE Wisconsin. The spiders looked exactly like black widows but had no hourglass and yellow and black on their abdomens instead of red.

I understand that spiders are very beneficial and we did not kill them rather shook them out of the can. However, I'd like to know what they are.

I am totally depressed due to my wife's internet affair with a guy.She always fight with me for silly reasons and call me useless.I know about her affair for the last 7 years and waited till now for her to change and come back to me. I know that this is reserved for the best of the best, but what he did was no less than amazing. Gave up millions of dollars, fame to serve his country in Afghanistan.

I think his heroics during a tough period in our nation's history warrant it. I think you have to wait ten years since they last played, but I am not sure if this true when they have passed away.

Especially in this era of so many egocentric players who play more for money than the game or pride (not that they are all like that)

Toward the end of the golf course, Harry somehow managed to hit his ball into the woods finding it in a patch of pretty yellow buttercups. Trying to get his ball back in play, he ended up thrashing just about every buttercup in the patch. All of a sudden, POOF!, in a flash and puff of smoke, a little old woman appeared. She said, "I'm Mother Nature! Do you know how long it took me to make those buttercups? Just for that, you won't have any butter for your popcorn the rest of your life; better still; you won't have any butter for your toast for the rest of your life..... as a matter of fact, you won't have any butter for anything the rest of your life!" THEN POOF!....she was gone.
After Harry got a hold of himself, he hollered for his friend, Fred. "Fred, where are you?"
Fred yells back, "I'm over here, in the Pussywillows."

I have been a very convinced evangelical Christian for 35 years and now have strong issues of conscience over the subjects of the exclusitivity of Christ (i.e. the Only Way to Heaven, etc.) and Hell (the eternal torment aspect of it). As I look at Buddhism, I see strong similarities to Christianity in the cultivation of the exact same virtues of love, joy and peace. Just very different concepts on the person and plan of God. Has anyone else out there made the same journey that I seem to be embarking on?

We were at a horse riding event this weekend. Next to me was parked a '96 Discovery with a double horse trailer, same as my outfit. Driver a youngish slim fella (no dizzy blondes etc!). Car is sitting with front wheels slowly turning, and standing still. "Try putting the diff lock on" I called to him. "The what? I've put it into 4 wheel drive, but no use. I'm stuck". I replied "But it's full time 4 wheel drive. The diff lock is used by moving the little gear stick to the left". "No, he argued, that's for switching between 2 and 4 wheel drive".
Needless to say, I engaged high range, diff lock on and pulled away with no probs. Now THAT is what annoys me about 4X4 drivers!!

I met a girl when I was 16 and since then I have been crazy in love with her should I tell her?
We lost contact after high school and now 10 years later we are talking again. She however is in a relationship and I just got out of a 2 year relationship. Its great talking to her again I just don't know if I should share with her how I feel in fear it may ruin a great friendship.
