I have been offered an excellent and higher paying job at another company. I like my current place but pay difference is too great to turn down. When I explained this - my boss gave me a counter-offer that is equal to 50% of the pay difference.

I have heard that if you give your termination notice, and the current company makes you a counter offer which you accept (and stay) - it is something like 75% certain you will be gone (either quit again or get fired) from that company within 3-4 months. Has anyone heard anything like this?? If I decide to stay - what is the likelyhood I will leave (quit/get fired) int he next few months anyway???

Well My boyfriend and I have been dating for 1yr and 1 month....I mean everything is going great besides the fact all he does all day is smoke weed and play video games.This has been like this for the last month and its starting to irrate me.
