I have read Canadians do not give a chance to professional
immigrants to get jobs in their field of expertise.

I always new Canada was a friendly, cultural and open society but
I have read websites as notcanada.com and canadaimmigrants.com where they paint the Canadian Market
as racist and local. Using words as "Canadian Experience"
and "Regulated Professions" Canada denies job to a lot
of people.

I suppose if you apply for an executive corporate job "Canadian Experience" is important but I was wondering about other clerical
jobs is it the same?

Also seems than in Europe and USA the IT market is always open
would be the same case in Canada or is it ruled for the same trends mentioned above?

Any comments?

And do you give them sterilized water, flitered tap water, or bottled nursery water?
What about flouride? Does sterilzing the water take out the flouride?

I missed it but it must have been something pretty bad to have so much buzz about it.

I live near the zoo and I will stop by occasionally to look at the animals. There is one chimp in particular who seems to like my visits. I named him Bewbew and I always share my McDonalds or Taco Bell with him. Lately he has been getting diarrhea and vomits alot. I tried getting him a vegetarian pizza but after scarfing it down he vomited it all back up and sh*t down his leg. He didn't even finish his Coke that I got him so now he is wasting money. Is he just getting normal monkey illnesses or is there a deeper lying problem? He just lays there now and barely finishes his burritos that I bring him.

I am the cause of deaths and wars,
Men are posessed by me.
Without me the world would be a better place,
Yet for me you'd give your life.

And each time good is done in this world,
I'm worshipped, honoured and praised.
But my sins are never blamed on me,
But blamed on another fantasy creature.

You follow me and believe in me,
It could be a fatal mistake.
Ignore me and look at me as nothing,
Then nothing I shall be.

I have told you all my dangers,
Now you all must decide.
If I am nothing, just a myth,
Or if I am your life, your God.

Would love to hear other people's experiences or how it made them feel.

I grew up in an environment where all the women only had children and all the men worked in skilled trades. I feel like I'm sometimes venturing into unknown territory with no one to ask for directions.

With our country supposedly based on a clear separation of church and state, how did the term “Legally Married” ever come to be? How did getting married become a process where you have a commitment ceremony AND have to file paperwork with the courts? I understand that we now have certain legal rights and tax effects based on our marriage status. However, shouldn’t it really be based on our partnership status? If there are 2 consenting adults agreeing to partner up in life together, regardless of sex, shouldn’t every partnership have equal legal rights?

K my best mate is a guy - Ive recently become quite good mates with his girlfriend of 6 months and chat to them both quite a bit. However - shes now trying to get me to suss out his intentions are to her/ what he thinks of her/what he says about her etc - I dont want to be stuck in the middle - but dont want to be a blatantly honest and tell her Im not really up for being a go between but I am getting uncomfortable with it.
Ive tried telling her its not really fair to be telling her stuff he tells me in confidence - but her problem is shes REALLY insecure and I think she wants me to assure her he really loves her. Other than this - shes a great girl and I like her alot - so dont want to stop being as friendly with her.
Any advice greatly appreciated on how to deal with this - thanks. xx

I was raised as a Christian, and I think my religious education was very thorough. I also have done a lot of independent reading as an adult to expand my knowledge, but surprisingly I have met many Christians who do not know what the Council of Nicea was, who don't know about the political and social conditions of the world during the lifetime of Jesus and things I would think any well-informed religious person should know about their faith.

My question to you all is, what do you actually learn about the history of the Church from your religious education? Do you only study scripture? How does church history influence your beliefs?

Please keep this civil. It's a genuine question, not meant to be malicious or attacking.
