I'm Hispanic and when I was a child my parents sometimes punished us by make us kneel in rice, sometimes for up to an hour. My brothers hurt me once to the point I had to go to the hospital. As punishment they were spanked, made to kneel in hard uncooked rice and write 500 times "I will not hurt my little sister" This (the rice and sometimes corn kneeling) is a common punishment in some hispanic families. Has anyone else had this or something simular done or do this with thier children?

What happened to the saying it's the thought that counts? It's all got too commercialised and we mugs (parents) fall for it every year getting more and more in debt just to please our kids who already get too much as it is. I can feel the stress already - lol!

A duck walks in to a post office & says,
“Do you have any soap?”
and the man says,
“No, we only sell post cards, stamps and envelopes”, so the duck left….

The next day the duck walks into the post office again and says,
“Do you have any soap?”
and the and the man said,
“No!, And if you ever come in here asking for soap one more time,
I'll nail your damn beak to this desk!!!”

…so the duck come in on the next day and says,
”Do you have any nails?”
and the furious man says,
“NO!!!!!!!!!”
so the duck says, “Ok do you have any soap?”

1.Stick your palm open under the stall wall and ask your neighbor, ''May I borrow a highlighter?''
2. ''Uh-oh, I knew I shouldn't put my lips on that.''

I did a test, waited 3 minutes, got a negative and chucked the test in the bathroom bin. I emptied the bin the following night and instead of the single horizontal line which meant it was negative, I saw a horizontal line and a faint vertical line. Could this mean i am only just pregnant (I did do the test too early but I just couldnt wait!!!) or do you think the line appeared cos it was thrown in the bin?

My friend and me are debating, since we cant find the answer. If someone donates blood and afterwards when they take it back to the lab it is tested for HIV and West Nile. Will the Red Cross notify you that you are infected and wont let you donate again? Or will they not tell you and just trash the blood??
