Right after a new model is released. CPU's are sold under the premise that if you don't have the latest one, you r PC will die....this is utter rubbish.

For example, now that the Intel Duo core has been released, we are all expected to go out and buy one for future applications....its just not true.

What this does however, is drive down other CPU prices, so you can get an awesome AMD 4000+ or better for a fraction of the price, likewise you can get Intel 4 or better at bargain prices, because they are marketing their new version and need to clear stock.

The one thing to make sure of at the moment, is that it will run Vista (ie powerful enough) as it is going to be released to the public in January and we are all going to want to run it ! haha !! Slaves to the machine ....etc.. ha ha !!
