I'd never head of this until sometime last spring. And before that, only in movies/TV that depicted 'slavery' times. The difference being that the persons in captivity were addressing the Caucasian females as "Miss" then their first name, or the Caucasian males as "Master." Why is this resurgent? What happened to Sir, Ma'am, Mr., Mrs., Ms. and then a LAST NAME? Or if the situation allows it, a first name?

I am making my boss a bottle of wine with a picture of his face on it, and i want to put a french line underneath the photo. The make of wine is the same as his surname so i thought that would be really catchy. The line would be something like: "where pleasure start", or "the essence of a good time" or something like that. Or something humorous! And if it is possible that it could be posted in French as well please.

Feel free to post you're ideas in english as well. All welcome.

I was at the doctors yesterday and it was mentioned (b/c of my insomnia and constant elevated body temperature - not fever related), but they never thought to do a blood test. I came home and looked up the symptoms on 10 different websites, and it practicaly spells out my life health issues! How do I go about asking my doctor to do this blood test without sounding like a hyperchondriact?

I ask this question primarily because I bought an air purifier once and there was an obvious ozone odor, which I promptly returned the product to the store. The humidifier I bought more recently smells nothing like ozone and whatever odor is produced is very subtle. I just don't want to be breathing this in now and find out 10 years from now I'm dying of cancer. This humidifier appeals to me to help me with allergies because it doesn't use up heat to humidify the room. Thanks,

A man wonders if having sex on Sunday is a sin because he is not sure if sex is work or play.
He asks a priest for his opinion. The priest says, after consulting the Bible," My son, I am positive; sex is work and is not permitted on Sundays."
Un-satisfied he goes to a minister...a married man & experienced He queries the minister and receives the same reply..."Sex is work and not for the Sunday!"
Not pleased with the reply, he seeks out the ultimate authority: a man of thousands of years tradition and knowledge, a Rabbi!
The Rabbi ponders the question and states, "My son, sex is definitely play."
The man replies, "Rabbi, how can you be so sure when so many others tell me sex is work?!"
The Rabbi softly speaks, "If sex were work, my wife would have the maid do it."

Yesterday, I managed to run out of gas. Walking along the highway to the gas station I found a womans pocket-book (purse) with all her info in it and credit cards, etc... So, I did what any good American would do... I picked it up, nosed through it, and then brought it on home with me and called the police to turn it in. Well well well, did I hear it from neighbors and friends. Telling me I should have left it there and telling me that I shouldn't have got involved. Telling me the state is going to accuse me of stealing it, etc... What do you think? Shouldn't people still try to help each other and do the right thing? I refuse to give up on this world just yet!
