I met someone really nice online. Everything we "talked" about was perfect and we seemed to match eachother well but when we spoke for the first time, I couldn't get past this person's voice. It did not sound as intelligent or commanding as the chats we had. Is it wrong to wonder if someone is still perfect for you because of something like this?

Hi there everyone!
I've noticed that lately, while I am listening to my mp3 files (no matter what player), while my computer accesses the Hard Drive, there's this noise, quite noticeable. Also, I've noticed a lag on my PC's response to many commands.
I'm worried, because I don't know where this problem arises. Might as well be anywhere, but I suspect the HD unit which is more or less a recent model -say I bought it bout 1 year ago-, the sound card (less probable) or even my microprocessor. Processor: AMD athlon 1.39 GHz 5 years old.
Does someone have an explanation to this?
Thanks for your replies!

Most Atheists always say that they are unprejudiced unlike Christians are Muslims... But I think atheists can be just as intolerant, close-minded and fundamentalist as any other religion..

Atheists such as Stalin, Enver Hoxha, Polly Toynbee, and Richard Dawkinns are very prejudice against religious people.. And in France they ban religious clothes in school. Many ateist are very scornful and seek to repress the views of Christian Creationists..

Is there such a thing as fundamentalist atheism ?

nb...Here is a fun survey to see if you are one
http://www.tektonics.org/parody/fundyath.html

nb2 I don't think all atheists are intolerant (Infact most atheists I know I very open-minded people) just like I'm sure most atheists realise that most theists aren't intolerant either...
But it is a FACT that there are intolerant atheists..and there is a strain of atheist philosphy that is very narrow-minded..

Connection wires to a electric heater doesn't get hot, when the heater coil is hot. why?

Lets think about a nicrome coil (of course small in length) connected to a lead acid battery via an uninsulated copper wire (of the same diameter as the nicrome coil)

Condition 1: Battery is switched off :- Now the nicrome wire is heated by a candle flame, as a result the coil heats up, and the connection wire (i.e. copper wire) also gets heated up in this case.

Condition 2: Now the battery is turned on and the coil gets heated ( in fact red hot), but this time the copper wire does not get much heated. Why?
I hope this has to do something with the flow of electrons
