Why do people equate homosexuals to pedophilles so easily?

Because both make people uncomfortable. A lot of people are still homophobic,and view that as wrong. Therefore, they assume that homosexuals must be pedophiles, because they are already doing something "immoral".

Probably because of NAMBLA. Although most homosexuals don't belong to NAMBLA, when the public hears them speak they make the association in their minds.
