A one-story brick house we're buying has a crack, which goes up from one of the concrete blocks of the foundation, about halfway up the house. It's widest at the bottom, 1/16th inch, and gets narrower and less severe the higher you look.

The concrete blocks enclose a concrete slab foundation. The brick walls are on top of the concrete blocks. The floors are attached directly to the concrete slab. Only one layer of concrete blocks is visible. I don't know if there are more below. The house was built in 1972.

The crack seems to be caused by damage to just one concrete block. That block is cracked in such a way that the surface sticks out at the bottom of the block, with the crack going up from there through the bricks. It's close to one corner of the house.

Our inspector said it's not serious, and we should just caulk and seal it. Is he probably right? Or should we worry? The appraiser either didn't notice or didn't care. His value is higher than what we're paying.

my husband left me this weekend telling me the house wasnt clean enough. my house is not the cleanest in the world no theres always laundry and some dishes to be done but other than that its pretty clean. it all occurred because i asked him to treat my daughter the same as he treats our son. he got mad and left but used the excuse about the house to deny any wrong doing on his part. if he wont admit hes wrong so he can work on changes too how will this ever work we've been married 2 yrs now and its the 1st time either of us have walked out. what do you think?

If us non-christians ALL go to hell by choice....what about the people never exposed to the idea of christianity??? there are 6 billion people in the world.....in a world that have several different belief systems and culturs. I mean, the Archeoptyrex isn't enough evidence for me that dinosaurs evolved into birds. It may have just been some weird animal like the platypus. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a 5000 years from now, they go extinct and scientist pick up a platypus fossil and claim that ducks evolved into beavers. Also tell me how creatures who haven't gone extinct for millions of years, like the celeocanth haven't evolved one teeny bit. Give me genuine proof and tell why the theory of Creationism or Intelligent Design aren't better than your theory of Evoltution.
