Playing the Hero is suicide. Being a Hero is another matter. The best way to respond to a hostage situation depends on the individual situation. No one who has not been in such a situation really knows how they would act, only how they hope they would act.

As a retaliation to another incident, I was kidnapped and held for over 13 hours. I was brutally raped and sodomized. After the ordeal, I was released and told not to go to the police or I would be dead within hours. Well, today I am alive and after relocating to another state, I've decided not to play the hero role again. I promised to only look after myself. I would not play the "hero role" because that is what caused me to be kidnapped. Every individual has the option, I choose not. Good luck in your search for the correct answer.

i will try as long as im not putting others life in danger. first i have to think the best possible solution either to escape or avoid getting killed. or i would listen to what they tell me to do, but back in my mind, im already plotting to find route or ideas to be able to get out.

those hostage movie plot that i love to watch, may do some benefit on this kind of situation then i will try to make it an advantage for me to apply while my brain is still functioning..

im the clean up lady in my job so i know i can come up with something, that is if i didn't start getting panic or getting hysteria that i start scaring myself. then that will be a problem cause i can't do anything.

but i doubt it, im a cool person and my brain think solution right away...

I definitely would. But only at the right time you know?! I have kids and no one is going to keep me from watching them grow up. I hate people who control others just because they have issues with needing to control others. Adrenaline can be a great asset and always kicks in with me.

If you play a Hero you are not only jeopardizing your life but other peoples life. So i would be a hero and keep quiet.
Unless of course they are killing or about to kill people.
