I've had my tongue pierced for about 7 years now. I've always had jobs that allowed this, until now. I have a tongue retainer (clear) that I put in when I go to work, because I'm afraid it may grow up. I've always heard that a tongue piercing will grow up faster than any other part of the body. I was wondering if it would grow up in a 9 hour or so period of time or if I've had it pierced so long that it would possibly take days to grow up. I'm getting sick of having to put this tongue retainer in everyday for work. If I could go all day w/out it, then put my tongue bar back in after work, that would be great...is it possible w/out it growing up on me?

Ok ... I am currently employeed my a shady staffing agency that has shifted things around to screw their employees over. They are constantly caught in lies and I would love to leave them but if I quit I don't get unemployment while searching for another position.

I was told that since the staffing rep has their email address on thier business card as a form of contacting them that I should always communicate with them via email so their is a paper trail for everything that is stated.

Well I caught them in yet another lie and confronted them on it. At the bottom of the email the rep states "This will be the final e-mail conversation between us. Our method of communication is live and via the phone. If you cannot abide by this, your voluntary resignation will be accepted." Can they do that? I am not resigning. They would be firing me not me resigning right? The only way they can say I voluntarily resign is if I say "I Quit" right?

I have need money soon... And my credit is great for a bank loan or personal loans... Plus, im not even in town...Has anyone used cashin10minutes.com? I hear it is reliable and It's not to bad. I know that this is going to be expensive but I have no choice, I would have money on payday with no problem with fees. Does anyone else know of any other websites?

I am a firm believer in discipline, i was raised by just my mom, smacked on the backside whenever i was cheeky or disobedient.....and smacked on the backside with a slipper or belt when i was very badly behaved.....i think that it doesnt hurt to discipline your children this way....what rights do other people have to tell you not to smack your kids? The arguement is that more and more youths seem to be getting into trouble these days...perhaps through lack of discipline and being spoiled by their parents. Obviously when the day comes that i am a father..i will do what i think in my mind is best for my child....which will include smacking.....any thoughts?

Not being facetious or anything, I've just noticed that a number of my friends who once played football at one time or another in their life now seem to struggle with at least one form of permanent bodily injury specifically from it. Mind you, I've never played on a team, so I know nothing about what to expect injury-wise. But I do distinctly recall seeing some games in the past where a player was taken out of the game injured, or laid on the side to recover (this was at a kids football game, too.)
Is a permanent injury more or less the expectation if you've played football, or is this an inaccurate generalization, and do I just coincidentally happen to have injured friends?
