Check crankcase vent. Probably stuck or needs replaced.

DO NOT RUN IT!!!, What has happened is either the fuel float (its in that bowl on the bottom of the carb) has formed a hole in it, and sunk letting gas free flow through the breather and combustion chamber, or it has more then likely hung up..., tap the bowl a few times, that may break it loose..., OR the inlet needle/seat are leaking..

When its fixed, drain and refill with fresh oil, make sure the combustion chamber is free of gas as well (take the plug out and turn it over a few times)... I'd also invest in a cheap in-line fuel shutoff valve...

Assuming you DIDN'T turn it on its side with the muffler down, if gasoline somehow got into the oil sump, its leaking past the piston rings and exiting as exhaust gas would.

Drain and add fresh oil. Dont start it like this, it could explode.
