To the christians who claim he is evil: did Mr. Levay invent satan? I believe christianity is responsible for that...

Probably the most truthful of all of Satan's left-hand men.
* LaVey preached that there is no Satan (no surprise there... the biggest lie Satan promotes is that he doesn't exist... and hence, he could not have made Adam and Eve sin, hence no sin, hence, nothing to avoid doing).
* He preached that Satanism is all about the 'worship' of self... the freedom of mankind from God's restraints (wow, no surprise there, and that is indeed a truth. It is just like the lie the serpent gave to Eve, that she would be like God, and know good and evil... and upon eating... she was 'freed' from the pleasures and bounty of Eden, and 'freed' from the everlasting love of God.
* He preached that man is nothing more than an animal, and as such, is not bound by any law except one, "Do as thou wilt, for that is the whole of the law"... a philosophy shared by those who promote evolution.
* He preached that all answers would come from man alone, not from God... another philosophy shared by those who promote evolution.
* He preached the downfall of Christianity... a philosophy shared by many atheists (particularly those who reside here at Y!A)
* He preached death to those who would hinder or hurt you, in a manner akin to "natural selection".
There are two things commendable about this man : 1.) On many issues, he spoke the truth about Satanism [regrettably, he also mingled it with lies... much akin to what Satan does] 2.) Even *HE*, of all people, abhors the concept of the death of children... for without children, who are to be the next generation? ...yet, here is where my detest of secularism and pro-choice comes from... that they are so vile, that it embraces something even Satanism will not touch.

One thing that he overlooked in all of his writings was the fact that he believed in God. How else can you follow Satan unless you submit to the belief that God exists? Antom Levay capitalized on the hatred felt by unhappy people and made a fortune pushing his flimsy agenda of demon worship to the masses. It is that very discontent that to this day brings new readers/followers to his works. I believe that he is a fool and a buffoon.

Anton started the church of Satan. I am thinking that he has a place reserved for him in hell, but that is not for me to decide. what do you gain if you have the whole world and loose your soul?

He is evil. I have only seen him once and he made my skin crawl. It was very scary too. Blessings to you.
