I am a materialist. I find that people automatically assume that I place all of my love into the objects that I own which is not at all true. My love goes to my family.. Materialism seems to spur a frenzy amongst a lot of people, can you explain why this is so?

I am 25 .He is 33. We've been married since 6 years. We have 1 daughter. I'll just give details I think the'll help in answering my question. First 3 years in our marriage I was totally stupid in sex, he suffered much of that. Later I changed. I love having sex with him. But I'm very romantic, and i always want to have sex like in romantic films in which each touch and whisper means a lot. In the contrary he likes hot sex. He likes watching sex films and likes to talk about sex and sex workers. I've been talking to a friend who volunteers at a home for the aged. The facilities are poor, because the people who live there have little money. She talked of how unloved and forgotten these people feel, so few of them having family members (or family who visit) and how hard it is for them waiting to die alone and unloved.

I suggested that it might help if these facilities could be hooked up to the internet, the aged taught how to connect to places like Y!A, or newsgroups and other forums where they could talk with people, share their stories, laugh at jokes, be cherished and valued again.

As she is christian, I suggested her church might be able to donate the funds needed for a computer and the internet connection, offer volunteers to help the aged learn how to access these discussion groups and for those who can't type, perhaps they (or others living in the facility) could type for them...

Will those of you who do charity work consider this? I think it would help the aged.

What about their VICTIMS such as the Elderly, Children, and others that have been murdered in the commission of a crime who are innocent. i have this guy friend in school... he is close to me... i like him.... and there r sort of signs that makes me feel that he also likes me.... when i turn my head to him... without any reason he just smiles at me.... i asked him y... he said... nothing by continue to smile... and there r also times that i saw him looking at me...
