Someone just asked the cost of a 'bear' in Egypt! Now if this is a big furry beast, non-native to Egypt, it's rather distracting. If on the other hand, it's a 'beer', that's making it difficult for genuinely helpful people to respond sensibly. So to all those who say we're pedantic or small-minded, how do you answer this one?

Have Carpenter ants all around remote cabin. Every two years I get an infestation. Looking for legally available strong chemicals to use outside around the cabin to deter them in the fall and again in the spring. Get a lot of snow... all will wash away. Also - once in the cabin any recommendations on how to handle? I am already removing any/all damp areas (they are in the bathroom).

I said the word "androgynous" yesterday referring to baby clothes and everybody said "wow nicole! big word! don't hurt yourself" That's just an example though. People always act like I'm stupid but I'm not AT ALL. I'm going back to college next year. I love learning. I did rather well in high school in honors and AP classes and I did well in college too. Why do people assume that just because someone isn't all stuffy and miserable that they're stupid?

I think of Him as one who loves us so much and yet won't babysit us because of His wisdom( learning by mistakes). And yet when mistakes are turning more and more undesirable results(counter productive) He would make His moves( the coming back of Jesus) to bring back order.

The question: Could it be the tremendous pressure of love and compassion are behind what would finally break His tolerance? Probably God is just holding on to that feelings but like a restive volcanoes it has to go off one day.

A few minutes ago while I was getting off of a boat in one of Bangkok Thailand's canals I noticed an absolutely beautiful rainbow seeeming, because of the peer where I happened to get onto, to come from an adjacent mosque and then stretching into a perfect arch. It is quite obvious why those with religious tendencies would see a rainbow as a symbol of god especially if one happens to be standing in an area where it seems to be coming from a temple, mosque, shrine, or church. Could you of a more scientific and analytical frame of mind remind me of the prism effect and explain why it is that rainbows are an arch or partial arch?

I've recently gone back to school to finish my nursing degree and a lot of the students, even the older students that have had prior college courses, keep complaining about the amount of chemistry that we need to know...I'm all for learning in college...and I know that learning chemistry is important, but their arguement is that "Everything is done by computer!" I was an Army EMT, so I guess that doing and knowing things at a basic level is vital because you never know what to expect...but I was just wondering from all of the health care workers out there...just to prove my point...at a personal level...How important to nursing is studying chemistry and knowing how to calculate meds...thank you for any input...Diana

Throughout the past 8 to 10 years my timing for naturally falling asleep has been slowly shifting forward and now I can only fall asleep around 2 am and wake up at 12 to 2 pm to be fully rested. I'm 25 now and this really effects my day to day life as I need to work everyday at 8-9 am in the morning. What is the cause of this? Any natural way to correct this problem or must I go for serious therepy involving medication etc?
