I said the word "androgynous" yesterday referring to baby clothes and everybody said "wow nicole! big word! don't hurt yourself" That's just an example though. People always act like I'm stupid but I'm not AT ALL. I'm going back to college next year. I love learning. I did rather well in high school in honors and AP classes and I did well in college too. Why do people assume that just because someone isn't all stuffy and miserable that they're stupid?

nope. I wouldn't say that zoek whatever your name is. I said I'm NOT dumb. Guess you're one of those miserable ppl I was talking about!

Many people classify women as either airheads or b****es. If you are funny (and funny people are usually smarter than others), than you must be an airhead. Irritating, isn't it?

I think its a very real stereotype... these days it seems like there is so much to be depressed about and most people that follow current events are becoming more and more disillusioned with life... in my opinion those people who would be classified as overly happy are either incredibly naive OR just very good at coping with reality, and should therefore have as many children as possible to pass on the genes, it is however a very fine line sometimes... i hope you are the happy enlightened type, good luck w/ that.

I had the same problem in Toledo. I had gotten out of Indianpolis and was soooo relieved that I walked around with a big smile on my face. Some folks commented that I must be autistic or something because of that.

you only have 24 hours in a day - you pick and choose what you need to hear, what you can disregard. Ppl can assume what they want to. You can't stop them ... so long as you know yourself.

Worry about what you feel about yourself. in the future those same people will probably be doing the same dead end thing, meanwhile you are advancing in your career
