I had a shower installed in our basement. We used a unit from Kohler. The plumber installed the base wrong (only used wooden support beams but nothing to support the whole bottom..he said Kohler's instructions said it had a support and didn't need another). Long story short, it does need support because now it's cracked. No one will take blame and I need the shower to not leak.
I want to rip the base out and have it tiled. Can it be done? Do the walls have to come out too? Who would I use to do something like this?
Thanks for any help..we live in the chicago area.

I am really close friends with my best friend's bf..Eric.. and Eric considers me as one of his boys so he tells me pretty much everything that goes on in his relationship. My best friend and his gf Monica who currently resides in another town with her parents. she is supposed to be back in town pretty soon. the problem is that she never calls her bf unless he tells her to and seems to never have time or desire to talk to him cos she is busy.and he misses her like mad.literally...she takes him for granted basically ....she never told me anything ..that like she likes someone else..nothing of that sort..and eric is really upset and bitches about her when talking to me. and i hate this and i told him he should make her miss him so he should not call her every single day but wait 3 days and wait till she calls. (he calls her daily). I hate being the middleman and its not my biz to deal with their relat-ship. but any advice? stay out? help them somehow? warn her? i dont want them 2 breakup.

Hello,

how difficult a time am I going to have being able to buy a first home? My wife and I both have extremely poor credit. We have the $$ for downpayment (10% - 20%)... but from the looks of it banks aren't going to be inclined to look favorably on us.

Any thoughts?
