Because we are not perfect but God puts the desire within us to strive for perfection. The Holy Ghost is the strength and motivation within us that drives us to seek for more.

same concept of you walking into a restaurant. Just because you see the restaurant, you see the restuarant is good place with good food, you see the benefits of being in the restaurant ect...but if you choose not to eat the food and partake in the experience you will not be filled.

Just because you agree to accept Jesus doesn't mean he's gonna force his will down your throat. Its not that simple. You have free will and have a choice to follow through with what he asks of you or to not do it.

If you do what he asks and has prepared for you then you will be filled with so much happiness and joy that you'll want to share it with the world. Its there but you must take the steps to take it.

The answer lies with the greedy church leaders who are in cahoots with the political leaders.

Chrisitanity is only a smokescreen and a license for powerful, influential people to take advantege of others.

Examples:

The Philippine Islands were conquered by the cross and the sword. Conquistadors and priests used the fear of God to enslave and rape the Filipino people.

The United States before the civil war advocated slavery and bought Negores who were whipped, beaten and raped into submission and then told of the fear of God and to submit to their white masters by Baptist ministers.

George Washington himself owned slaves although he did not mistreat them (subject for verification).

The bottom line here is what Jesus and the Bible say is one thing. What the priests and other religious loudmouths say and do are totally different.

The even have the B-A-L-L-S to tell us "Do as I say and not what I do." Total F****** B*******!

Sad but true.

Peace.

The ''We'' that you refer to probably did not include you. Sorry, you make the same mistake that so many people make. Why does everyone think that the Bible is written for them? It is a document of what was said two thousand years ago by Jesus, or others, to other people. How on earth can so many people be so vain? It makes me wonder.

It's something like a snake shedding it's skin but even deeper. We'll always feel waves of hunger until we are rid of our earthly bodies.
