Is sarcasm common to every language?

Because we would never use sarcasm in English...

Why do people resort to comparing the U.S. to Islamic countries when debating prayer/religion in schools?

I'd like for someone to explain the logic of this debate with me. It basically says that if we move to an Islamic country, like Iran, that we shouldn't expect them to quit holding public prayers. So why should it be any different in the U.S., which is a "Christian" country?

But in the U.S., I thought we have the First Amendment which says that the government can not make laws that respect the establishment of religion or prohibit the exercise thereof. We also have established the separation of church and state.

So am I to believe that, since this country is allegedly founded on Christian principles, that we should adopt the same mentality and practices of countries like Iran?

(Some even go so far as to resort to a "love it or leave it" mentality.)

Am I not getting something here? Or maybe I am, and I just really don't like the sounds of it.

Are Republicans aware that as long as Bush is in office their chances of re-election get slimmer by the day?

It seems like the smart Republicans are separating themselves from Bush. Kinda tells you how good Bush is running the country when your own party doesn't want you around.

But with record low approval ratings for Bush, are there still going to be Republicans standing by Bush?

If they do is it over for them? Or do the Republicans already have things rigged up for election time (electronic voting machines should do the trick) this year?

How many people have tried meth?

I have never tried it and never plan on trying it. The drug scares the b-jesus out of me. But it seems to be a growing epedemic and I think a lot of people have delved in it.

How does one prepare their children to go into the world up against this new society drug?

Was "God" From The Future!?

If we were back in the days BC, with the technology we have today then Do you think we could be a god?

Just think if you had a helicopter or hot air balloon you could land on a mountain and call out over you loud speaker for moses to come up there.
You could toss out sweet pastry from the balloon for them to eat.
You could also ask for grain and oil as a gift to the god and get them to cook a goat for you to eat. sacrifice! But because you are god they must obey or you will electricute them with our generator.
Dont get religious on me now! Just a thought.

the reason she backstabbed me was because she slept with my ex when i was dating him so i didn't really want to talk to her but i am not the kind of person that can hate people so i figured i would give her another chance.. than i find out that she was going behind my besfriens family's back and sleeping with my best friends brother which i really wouldnt care if there wasnt kids involved.. so i chose to give her another chance again and than the last straw came when she stole my best friend from me.. not to mention i don't want her around my baby but she has a way of making people feel bad.. so i am so confused i want to help her but i don't

Must be every MUSLIM support the US efforts to establish democracy in the Middle East?

The muslim nations are highly corrupted particularly the Arabs ub the Middle East.

The incapable monarchies, who are consistently building egos and living with fear which must not be existed in the faith of Islam.

Look at Israel, its power and supremacy. Its a tiny country with very limited population ruling the world from America, Europe to the Muslim monarchies and its toe-lining kings.

Arabs who obtained most of the OIL resources which is an importance source for present and future energy needs of the world. But submitting all the money to enemies which make them powerful and invite them to occupy their own territories and let the enemies to kill thousands of their own people mostly women and children. They are simply being a witness and having fun like watching a hollywood movie.

Once the incompatible coward monarchies removed and a democracy estabilished then the region, religion, security and peace will get strengthened by the own people.

Flat Tax System?

One of the most recent versions of this that I have heard of works like this. Any and all income made by an individual or married couple up to and including $52,000 per year would be tax free. For every dollar over that amount, approximately 25% would be taken for taxation purposes. Would you support a system like this? Please explain your answer.
