And a sample size of 2 languages can certainly tell us everything we need to know about all languages in general...

No. In many Asian countries it is still a bit of a foreign concept because their language doesn't really allow sarcasm. I have heard them say that one of the hardest things learning English is recognizing sarcasm.

I think most languages have some form of sarcasm. Ever read Poisonwood Bible? Kikongo can be a very ironic language.

If you mean (the word it self),,,so I don't think
But if you mean the action,or behaviour,,,,so yes
bcz 1_it is a nature of human being..
2_ used to feel ok in frnot ofother person or
group(The object)
3_to define the class of the object
4_to band the group or fix self against object
5_to gain as much as possible of object
it has so many ways to apear, some is soft,,,other is
horrible...
BUT the way of expression is different bcz it is tightly
connected to local or special cultural properties of
the group...i.e(religion,history of group, kind of jobs
available, kind of thinking about material around, nature
of group(aggressive+-,creative+-,hospitable+-)
if you use a simile of some lang,,maybe not understood
by other lang,,,

No.. Not every language understands sarcasm. My Indonesian lecturer went to dinner with someone who tried it with a waiter there and it didn't work at all.

Sarcasm is not a language thing but a CULTURE thing.
At one moment or another people of all cultures will use sarcasm, heavy or light.

No it isn't. No other language utilises sarcasm. They also don't use metaphors. Roughly translated ALL other languages sound like this: "me want drink of water" "hello, me Bob"...
and so on and so forth...
