I think that on the night of their bachelor/ette parties, they need to have one same sex experience, to make sure they are not gay before they get married. I've heard so many times from straight people "Oh, you just haven't met the right woman yet." Well, maybe straight guys just haven't met the right man, or straight women haven't met the right woman.

Audio Experts? What kind of microphone should I use to record my cat's purr?

I want to produce a high quality/fidelity recording of my cat's purr by strapping a microphone to his side (or something). What type of microphone would be best for this purpose and where can I buy one? I know that you can buy (on the web) recordings of cats purring and I even bought one and it's great, but now I want to record my own cat's purr.

PS: I wasn't sure where to categorize this (?).

I'm confused?

I started on this site about three days ago. I ask questions and I can barely get people to answer me.
I helped my husband sign up not even three hours ago, he asked two questions (that are darn near the same as mine) and he has been flooded with answers.
Why is that? Curiosity is getting me.

Does anyone know where to get discounts on admission to any Nisei Week events this year?

Discounts and/or free admission to events like the Tofu Festival and Falken Showoff Auto Show in Little Tokyo. Tofu Fest on August 12 and 13 2006 and Falken Showoff on August 20, 2006. Last year I found a free admission coupon to Tofu Fest in the L.A. Times, but I don't know if they have it this year.

When will the western world realize they are supporting a lost cause?

Below is a verse from the Holy Qur'an. I can see that it's very true... especially in light of the recent atrocities in Lebanon committed by the Israelis. They certainly are very violent and heartless. Good Christians would never resort to this type of violence, but instead exhaust the means of peace and resisting violence as much as possible. Why does my 11 month puppy growl at me before he eats?

My puppy growls at me and has his back hair raise before he eats his dinner. His back legs shake and he snarls and his hair rises. This doen't happen when my husband feeds him. We have always lightly pet our puppy and say "good boy" when he eats to make sure this would never happen. Now it does.. What is the reason behind this only happening to me and how do I get it to stop?

What was the age that you started to give your baby whole milk? I have always thought that you should wait the entire first year, but my friend started her little boy at 9 month. My daughter is 9 months and I was wondering if any other mothers have started their kids earlier than the 1st year mark...

Shouldn't we just stop?

Honestly, religion seems to be causing a lot of conflict in the world. People of colliding beliefs attacking each other over something that has been brainwashed into their heads seems very sad to me. There is nothing wrong with comforting yourself with visions of what may come after death as a bed time story but when we start supporting these 'guesses' with violence it just isn't right. The more I learn about history the more I begin to hate bible-toting religous finatics for the wounds they inflict on society. So can we please just stop supporting our guesses as facts and keep an open mind?
