The best thing to watch during the heatwave are films about heatwaves. I am thinking of films that really capture the simmering atmosphere -- for me, thrillers like 'Body Heat' with Kathleen Turner and William Hurt, or the remake of 'Cape Fear' with Robert de Niro, or Spike Lee's 'Do the Right Thing' are real classics of the genre - where the heat is practically another character in the story. Another piece that springs to mind is Frank Miller's 'Dark Knight' but obviously that was a graphic novel, not a film.

I'm interested in films that really capture the atmosphere of relentless summer heat. But please suggest any genre of film.

How could I be so stupid,
How could I not have noticed.
I've had friends all around me,
Yet I have not seen them.

Friends all around me,
Reaching out.
Yet I did not see them,
I didn't notice.

You have always been there,
But I didn't see you.
For I was too blind,
With my life.

Maybe I should take,
Some time.
To be with friends,
Friends like you.

Original sin came about because Adam and Eve took what was obviously bait. They made up their own minds for once in an un-slavelike manner and thus mankind was doomed for having a "forefather" (and foremother) who were not satisfied with being dumb animals.

God, referred to as Jesus' father and arguably his other evil schizophrenic personality, told him to die in agony or the world's entire population is going to get torched for failing a test of perfection that can't be passed and is supposedly our fault.

Here is the question-

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjvO_kyUqFiF4tfKAcfEMnXsy6IX?qid=20060718134753AAPp2tx
Not sure if anyone who answered my question will read this but nevertheless-

First of all, when I say back in the day I am not referring to slavery, the Salem witch trials, killing of Indians, etc. My parents and other older people that I hear say this weren’t alive during that time; therefore, their back in the day would not be referencing those things.

I understand that there haven’t been any new sins created, but in the past, immoral behavior wasn’t as widely accepted and flaunted. But it seems that now it is. I believe that it has to do with the American people straying away from Christian morals and values.

And about the statistics related to criminals. True Christians are those that accept, believe, and obey God’s Word, not those that are “Christians” by tradition or association.
The last time I checked, murder, rape, stealing, lying, etc. where not commandments in the Bible.

I don’t know where you all live, but in my city, our violent crime rate is up, and most of the offenders are children and young adults. I believe that it has a lot to do with how immoral our society has become, and how people have disregarded God’s teachings regarding proper behavior. If the crime rate where you stay is low-Go You!! But that just isn’t my story.

It is barbaric to deprive people of freedom. 20 years in jail is unethical and absolutely inhuman. How can we expect criminals to be better humans if they are in prison for over 20 years,
