i want the land rover Lr3 for my first car...do you think the price will go down by next march ..right now they are about 39,000....is that a good first car?

alright here is the deal. I am a 13 year old inventor, i have shown all of my inventions and ideas to my friends,family,teachers, and even random people. The good thing is every single one liked all of them. I have different types of inventions some include gadgets, imrovements to current items, and even buisness idea's. I know that you can get a patent but they are too expensive for my budget ($200). I want to a place or somone in illinois that would possibly be intrested in some of my ideas. I am a very determend person and work hard every day.

DISCLAIMER -- I'm not saying the US is a racist nation. It just struck me because you don't do that in Italy when you apply to College, or a job, or the equivalent of a SSN.

The USA are a democracy, aren't they? So, all citizens are equal. Who cares if you are White/Caucasian, African American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, African, Middle Eastern, or Other? How can Americans allow and accept this?

I'm posting this in the FIFA World Cup section because racial debate is one of the favorite subjects here ;-)

Well, I have this friend who is really close and dear to my heart. Last night she got rapped by this man who is really close to her. He lives in her house. I don't know what to do, I feel so used and dirty. She used a big bottle of hand sanitizer last night to wash myself with. She feels so dirty and so used. She does not know how to tell her husband, she is so terrified. I don't know what to do. . She does not understand how this could have happened, she never did anything to provoke this man who did what he did. I really need help, I wish I was dead, I want to die, I need comfort and I can't get it cause I can't tell anyone... My friend needs help, how can I help her, where can she go, what can she do? She can't go to the police, everyone will know and laugh, point a finger. No one can prove anything, I took I shower and used hand sanitizer all over. Please help my friend... Three guys get a hotel room, they are charged $10 each, total $30. Later the clerk realizes he overcharged them and gives a bellboy $5 to take to the men. The bellboy realizes he can't divide $5 evenly between 3 men, so he pockets $2 and gives each guy $1, so the room cost them $9 each, right?

So, $9 each times 3 men is $27, plus $2 in the bellboy's pocket is $29.

Where is the other dollar??

Hi,

I'm learning English right now.
I've come across the following sentences.


"The lamas (salvation seekers) begin a spiritual journey.
They must purify themselves(symbolized by the circle of fire). "



And somebody rephrased them like this

"Cleanup operation is the first phase of a spiritual journey."



When you describe purification of the spirit in religious way
do you use 'cleanup operation'?
It sounds awkard to me.
Since I'm not a native English speaker, I can't tell the difference of subtle nuances.

Please help me.
