Arabic is the language I want to learn for many reasons, including being part Arab. I want to learn Farsi, because I want to be able to read the poems of Rumi and Hafiz in the original language. Also, my serious boyfriend is Persian. Uh, Don't tell me I can't, I won't listen to that. Can't I learn them in a side-by-side complementary way? Is there a technique you linguists out there have used with some success? I can already sort of read both, though the vowels are confusing to me. I haven't been in a classroom setting for either yet, so I will have to wait till I can to use that method...

I,personally, think she's the most authentic performer on the show. She just has this presence about her that is so mesmerizing. She kind of reminds me of Donita Sparks from L7. I could totally hear her doing "Andres" or "Off The Wagon". I just think she's awesome, though. Definitely original:P. Loved how she rocked out "Lithium" TWICE!.Love what she did with "Ring Of Fire" tonight. Showed her softer side, as well as her ability to make a song her own,rather than a karaoke cover,which is very important for a show like this. Can't wait to see what she's going to pull out of her sleeve next week, or more, what she and the boys could come up with if she wins. I really hope she does. DILANA ROCKS!!!
