Why are there so many things all named after COLUMBIA in the United States like Washington D.C., CBS, Columbia University, Columbia Pictures...etc.?
What does Columbia stand for?

I have a lot of favorite countries.They are Korea,Malaysia,Singapore,Italy and Australia.

Korea-Asia(been there before,thats why)
Malaysia-Asia(my country of birth but i am not a malay)
Singapore-Asia(now living here)
Italy-Europe(for the landmarks,places,people and food)
Australia-Australia(for the landmarks,places,people and food)

I am from Malaysia but live in Singapore,an island in Asia.Don't think it is only an island(Singapore) but the facilities here are superb!
