It is likely enough - Jesus said that we are living in the last day, and all the prophesies that do not have to do with the end of the world have come true. Even some of the prophesies to do with the end of the world have come true. Firstly, the end of the world requires Israel, which has only recently come into being. Secondly, Jesus prophesised that a beast would set itself up in the temple of Jerusalem to be worshiped, but also that the temple would be destroyed. It was destroyed, but the Jewish authorities are planning to rebuild it.

However, the bible also states that only God knows when the end of the world will come, so you can't really set a date. Anyone who says that the end of the world has come is lying - the bible also says that when the end comes, everyone will know it.

Regards

People have been predicting the end of the world for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.

No, the world is not going to end any time soon. At least not until the Sun runs out of fuel and grows into a red giant.

Soon is "relative." If you're a God and the whole existance of the earth "is but a second" in eternity. Than yes, the world is coming to and end soon.

In our adolescent minds, earth time is "fast" and soon seems to come too slowly. Therefore no panic is necessary as sooner or later, the end will come.

Soon not by yours or my time scale, Soon in the scale of time with ref. to the earth itself. There will be 40 yrs of tyrranic rule by christians the God will send jesus back for salvation, 40 yrs of that and peace, and again 40 yrs of transgressions against Gods will. the signs are plenty before apocalyps, The doomsday or whatever you choose to call it.
God will see that there is not a single believer before he sends doomsday, that is the beginning, that is the end. Its also the day of judgement when people will answer to thier deeds, Each for himself,

No, the Bible outlines way too many things before the end of the world that must happen. So, it will be a while before the end! Read Revelations for details.

I do not believe the world as we know it will stand much longer. There is so much sin and depravity, I think Jesus will come soon and take His children to Heaven. I am ready! This I believe!

People have been flogging this paranoia for 5000 years. How many times do they have to be wrong before they stop yapping about it? The godbots keep changing the dates and they keep changing their story, but the lie never gets any better.

You what "end timers" remind me of? People who worry about their mom and dad walking in the front door while they self-service themselves. You live alone - there's no mom and dad, or no "god", so why worry?
