Have a handmade maple rocking chair with the middle webbed and springed (so you put a large cushion on top). I'd like to replace the webbing and respring it ... or would it be easier to just put a piece of wood in its place? Duct tape is not an answer for everything!

I live in Sacramento, California.Supposedly we have the 19th largest media market.Sacramento is the state capital of the 6th largest economy yet local political coverage is next to neil. This is an embarassment. The stories at the capital are a dime a dozen(literally). Bribery, cunning, collusion, conflicts of interest, lobbying against ourselves with our purchases, grants for science, space exploration, medical discoveries, and a infinite amount of "other" stories. Yet the local news dedicates more time educating their viewers about entertainment and people who really just don't matter.(This is a bad example..Everyone matters) But in certain context. I'd rather know other things regarding government matters opposed to learning that Brad and Angeline had a kid.Who cares really? We should care about the reasons the media doesn't cover certain important issues. Are they the media influence in bed with the politicians? This is why I want the world's vote. I demand answers. Could be religion, the environment, body peircings, anything. And do you defend the rights of others to express those opinions even if they offend you? Do you talk over the television or change the channel if someone comes on and criticises your views?

Recently installed new phillips cd-rw/dvd optical drive on my dell laptop after problems with my old one. I called Dell technicians to troubleshoot my old drive, and he had me to delete somethings in the regedit. Im not sure if this is connected as to why I see a picture but no sound when I play a dvd. In Windows media, the EQ is like disabled, the SRS wow effects are somehow disabled also, and I can't use them. My audio and sound devices are fine, because I can still play music. What seems to be the problem?
