Yes, I dont watch TV anymore either. The news is always depressing. Turn off the TV and take a walk. Watch good movies or soccer instead. You will feel better, I promise.

First off, A wise man once said,: War is the result of a countries failed foreign policy. Having said that, the current War in Iraq, and Afganistan are a terrible waste of Human Beings on both sides of the issue. Unfortuneatly, it is News, and until it stops(not for quite some time I'm sure) we will be assaulted daily with images from both fronts. Remember, it's not JUST an american issue, we have Canadians fighting bravely in Afganistan as well.

Ditto ! You do have a choice of what you watch. If it was Canada under attack and your sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, husbands and wives were going to Iraq to defend the united states where would you be then,I believe in our shoes. I just had a nephew 21 years old come back safe and sound, thank god, after serving a year there. So until you have been in our shoes here quit yer bitching and turn the channel and when it is your turn for someone Else's support let's see where you stand then. GOD BLESS THE USA AND OUR TROOPS,MAY GOD KEEP THEM ALL SAFE.

Canda? What about us here in the US. We are watching our family and friends die everyday over this stupid war. I bet, if it was YOUR World Trade Centers and Pentagon blown up, killing thousands of people....you wouldn't be as sick of it. I just had a close friend get back from Iraq.....and I wouldn't trade that for anything......knowing he is safe. Watching the news is a sure way for us with people over there to know we aren't going to become a mourner. Dont like watching it, then don't. It may get old, but what about the fact that everday they show a robbery....a shooting...someone else involved in a scandal. Atleast we are up to date and know what is going on with something that actually conerns all of us.

Sadly, it is not going to be over. We still have troops in Germany and Korea, so to think we are pulling out of Iraq is being naive at best.
However, you do have control over what to watch. Choose to watch positive programming, and you'll be better off.

it will stop when the dangerous extremists stop trying to terrorize us. i for one, want to feel safe in my own country and feel like i have a right to be so. i hope we finish the job so that we can be safe and live in peace. unfortunately, the extremists are teaching a message of hate, which is only going to make the problem worse. we aren't the problem. we are defending ourselves and if we have to go on the offensive to do it, i am all for it. bless the troops.

I am too. I hope the US will make more educated decisions, and the US people will stand up more instead of believing everything they hear.
