I will be going to Vietrnam starting the middle of October, and staying till the middle of December. While there, I will be getting married in Ha Noi, honeymooning in Hoi An, visiting Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat and Saigon.

I am wondering when Ong Jon will be visitng Vietnam next, and where might my fiancee' and I could cross his path.

Arriving 16th Dec, Staying in Saigon for 5 days. Will do day trips in this area. Any info on what to see appreciated. Flying to Danang and then will make our way back to Saigon. What is the best way to travel back as we want to see some of the country so would prefer to drive. Is the possible. Then into the Mekong, a few days on Phu Quoc Island. Then into Cambodia to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Have we got enough time to do all this? What is the best way to achieve what we want to do. We were going to go to Hanoi but read the weather was a bit cool there in Dec. Is the weather alright every where else. All help greatly appreciated.

We are in our thirties and do not want to be stuck on a coach with 50 middle aged tourists, but don't want to have to organise all the flights, trains, taxis, tours, hotels either..... Has anybody been on a tour that they would recommend, or web sites that can help. I don't want to spend most of the time trecking up the side of a mountain either (far too lazy for that). I would like to see Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, Hue, Ho Chi Minh, Mekong Delta and maybe spend a few days on a beach somewhere in Vietnam (or elsewhere in Asia).....
What is the weather like at this time of year. How cold does it get in Hanoi at night or is it too humid in Ho Chi Ming City?
What is the food like?
Is it possible to get asleep at night with all the noise?
Any suggestions or responses that help are much appreciated....

i am an australian citizen. i would have to become permanent resident of vn to work for vn airlines. if i apply for citizenship of vn, would i have to live there for 6 months to become a resident or i can i just apply for the citizenship and thats it? are there any affects if do apply for one?
