I had the same problem when I came back from Vietnam. I thought I was okay for about a week, and then I hit a wall and slept almost a day straight. What's ironic is I travel all the time, and jet lag usually doesn't affect me that bad.

My suggestion is to stay up till mid evening (8:00 - 9:00) and then completely knock yourself out. Hopefully, you will be tired enough by then to fall asleep. If not, then drink some alcohol that is enough to relax you but won't give you a hangover. You should be okay once you get past the wall.

Next time, try to knock yourself out while inflight. I was stupid enough to stay awake almost the entire flight home, which probably led to my crashing out for a day.

Sweet dreams!

try turning off the lights before you sleep and putting your feet in cold water...
for me, at least, jet lag just takes time to get over (I travel half way around the world and have the exact same difficulty as you). Taking SHORT naps during the day (limit it to less than 40 minutes)...I found that this helped.
I hope this helps!!!

never drink alcohol on an airplane NEVER!! i dont even know why rhey serve it , it is so bad for you to drink in an airplane.... but once you get off . get settled at your hotel.. the 1st stop should be the bar... party it up, get a real good night sleep the 1st day and you should be ok!
