Going to the Art Laboe concert on sat Feb 17 at the Ipay one center known as the San Diego arena, I live near long beach and I don’t want to drive back. Just need a place to stay for 2 people any suggestions?

Me and the family are moving to San Diego because my husband is being stationed there (he's in the navy). We're a pretty young couple (early 20's) with 1 year old twin boys, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good neighborhood for an affordable price. Maybe even a specific apartment complex?

I'm a 23 year old single guy, moving to San Diego this August. I'm torn between living in the Mission Bay area and Downtown San Diego...

Is the Mission Bay area too young for me? Is it all just college kids or are there a lot of post-college people as well?

Is downtown any fun during the day for meeting people and just having a good time, or is Mission Bay better for that?

The two apartments I'm choosing between are: The Pacific at Mission Bay, and 600 Front Apartments (near the gaslamp quarter)...

Does anyone know anything about these apartments? And how far a drive is it between Mission Bay and Downtown?
Thanks so much everyone.

P.S. - I'm moving from New York City to San Diego, and I've always dreamed of moving to California since I was in high school. Is San Diego as chill and laid back as I imagine it to be? Is it easy to meet people there? (I'll be working from home and I don't know ANYONE in California)

Is there an enclosed terrace or walkway to provide access between the two buildings or does one have to go outside one to enter another?

I am trying to decide on whether to bring a coat or not.

My friends and I are in college and we are going to San Diego, CA for spring break. We don't do the party scene or bar scene. We love to travel and see everything we can. I was just wondering if there are certain places that we should go when we are in San Diego. Please keep in mind we don't have a ton of money to work with. And if you could give an suggestions as to how we could save money, I would really appreciate. Thanks!!

OK - Here's the situation:

I currently live in Washington, DC - but the girl I've been seeing (and who I'd like to be exclusively dating) lives in San Diego, CA. I am flying out to San Diego on Valentine's day and should arrive around 8:30pm. I've already told her that I want to take her out and do something for the holiday, but I'm not really sure what to do.

I'm looking for something romantic... but not too too expensive. Is there a romantic location i could take her to talk? Maybe a nice, quiet lounge to grab a drink?

Please let me know what you think a romantic San Diego Valentine's day - night would include. Remember, the night has to start after 8:30 - but can go as late as you like.

Your help is appreciated. I look forward to reading your answers.

I'm going to San Diego in two weeks for the first time. I will have 3 free nights and then a full weekend (will rent a car). I will be alone (female, 28), so can you recommend something accordingly? I'm into sightseeing, dining, nightlife, events. Any landmarks that I must see?

We'll be a week in San Diego in March and would love something within easy walking distance to sand and water. We'll drive to the Zoo, Wild Animal Park, etc, but everyday the kids will want to play in the water.

Yes, I know, the water isn't as "warm" as in the summer, but coming from Alaska, any liquid water seems warm to us. A playground or kid attractions very close (ages 2 and 6) would be a plus, too.

Thanks. I always pick a best answer.

For those who live there, how are the people? What is the night life like? What is there to do? For those who visited San Diego, did you have a fun time on your vacation? Why or why not?

The reason why I'm asking is because my family and I is considering moving there and I just want to know some of your personal opinions on San Diego.

Thnx :)

I live in Toronto. I will be visiting San Diego, California in April - my first trip to California. Besides the famous zoo - any places you recommend not missing? Any tips?

Can someone please tell me where to find a nice, clean hotel or bed and breakfast place, or a day spa that offers a private jacuzzi or hot tub inside the room? I'm trying to book a nice romantic weekend for me and my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, and I'm having a really hard time finding a rental that isn't just some hourly hot tub room. I want to find a room we can stay in that has a private hot tub that will fit at least 2 people. Otherwise, the next choice is a day spa treatment for two that offers private hot tub rooms as well.

Please let me know if you know of a good place. And "The Tubs" in El Cajon is exactly what I am *NOT* looking for. I want something nice and classy and relaxing, not some seedy, pay-by-the-hour hot tub room.

Thank you,
M
